Its worth watching the first 6 minutes of this to get to the Minneapolis teacher who totally annihilates Leroy Barr and his far-fetched idea that a child in New York can pick up, leave New York, go to California, and be receiving in California the exact same instruction at the same time as he was in New York. Do these people live in the real world? Do they not realize that weather closes schools and instruction gets delayed? Do they not take into consideration childrens learning rates and abilities, or are teachers supposed to put all children together in one classroom and teach at the same level, bringing down brighter, faster-learning kids and frustrating slower learners? Common Core makes no accommodations for special needs students nor for Advanced Placement in schools. The man who said Common Core is all about corporate greed and our children being used has it correct, and I LOVE this Minneapolis teacher who tells it just the way it should be told! Theres a rally January 6 before the Capitol in Jackson. If you can, you need to be there!
