Itz been one of those days w/heartbreaking calls to rescue dogs in need - this one dumped with a plastic container stuck around his head, making his mobility limited and frustrating. We WILL REZCUE this sweetie as well.....WE MUST HAVE A FOSTER TO STEP UP! We were contacted at 12:45pm today regarding this dog. We were told this dog had been dumped a few weeks ago by a QT in Bartow Co, GA. He had a plastic container stuck on his head with no way to get it off - he would not get close enough for anyone to help. The picture said it all. Within 2hrs, there was an incredible group of people who dropped what they were doing to go and help this dog. Upon arriving to the area and talking with several people, our team was informed that AC had been called, and a trap had been set. Ironically, the dog went into the trap while they were there. )We are not allowed to touch a trap when another organization has set it without authorization). When AC arrived, they put the dog in the AC truck (and the dog was so upset and crying). We were unable to have this dog released to us when AC showed up. BUT....we intend to pull this dog and rescue him once his stray hold has expired. We do not have any information on this dog other than he is a lab/pit mix who has the most beautiful white spot on his chest and very soulful eyes. This dog has some injuries from what looks like being outside in the woods - all of which will heal. His spirit was crushed as he was escorted by a long pole into the AC truck. We can and will do our best to get him physically and emotionally stable once we pull him. BUT AGAIN....given the Thanksgiving Holiday, all boarding places are FULL. We have no where for him to go. We will need a foster. We will have him fully vetted and neutered. BUT....WE MUST HAVE SOMEONE TO STEP UP TO FOSTER (or ADOPT) HIM! Please contact [email protected] or call 770-552-6960 if you can or know someone who can foster him. We literally have no where for him to go when we pull him. We cannot and will not let him die in AC.
