It’s Raining Again was a song that I wrote on that old pump organ. I think I just lost a friend; I can’t remember whether it was a girlfriend or a friend. I was feeling very melancholy and I was staring out of the window at my mother’s house, looking at the rain in England. It came out much more melancholy then when it was recorded 15 years later. I decided to try it much more up tempo and it became a much more pop, a pop song, but the original version was much more melancholy and kind of heart felt. It works great in both ways. It’s a great, fun, uplifting pop song as well but with a sad lyric. That seemed to be one of my trademarks. I wrote a sad lyric but in an uplifting melody.
