It’s a good thing such amazing subjects are not dealt by Indian filmmakers. We wouldnt really want a Sajid Khan to direct The Hundred foot journey. The film will begin with Ritesh Deshmukh playing Helen Miller’s role. He would cross dress and seduce Om Puri over cheesy dialogues like, “What will you have in breakfast today? My oranges?” The theatre would reverberate with cheap laughter and we mourn the sad demise of sanity and good cinema. Far from the usual nonsense sold in name of masala movies The Hundred Foot Journey is simple, charming, fluid and so facile. Check my review of #TheHundredFootJourney (See I give more than 2 stars to deserving films :)) masala/movie-review-the-hundred-foot-journey-177124.html?page=2
