It’s a very interesting day due to a couple of planetary transits and a change of sign for Venus. While not a major day since the geometry is of the subtle variety, it still has significant ramifications for anyone on the path toward Heart Centered Living. Capricorn is the sign that represents the social structures of our world. Pluto, the greatest agent of change in our archetypal system, has been restructuring EVERYTHING out there since entering this sign back in 2008. His three-year ongoing Square with Uranus has stepped this process of transformation up to outrageous levels, something that is evidenced every day in the news. If it’s happening out there, it’s happening in here (ref: the Heart) as well. But make no mistake about it – the structure of life is changing and you and I have to change along with it. If you are reading this column then it is likely that you desire to be one of the people on the planet who are willingly changing from the inside out in order to bring change to the outside world. This is no easy task. Jupiter is a social planet, the part of the equation that governs all that is expansive, abundant and yummy. Today, he and Pluto interact in an Inconjunct, the angle known as the Great Eliminator. When a social planet interacts with an outer planet, great power is generated. An Inconjunct allows you to drop old habits and patterns. This can be a time of change when you are forced to let go of outdated modes of behavior in order to achieve your goals. This may be frightening and difficult as you are pushed out of your comfort zones, but the energies of this transit can assist you in achieving great changes and growth and in discovering things about yourself that you never knew existed. This is a slow-ish transit that has been active since Jupiter entered Leo over six weeks ago and whose influence will be felt for at least another month. The Moon goes Void this morning just after 8:00am PDT and inside that Void, Venus will move from Leo into Virgo. When an aspect or an ingress (the entering of a new sign) occurs during a Void, it has greater significance and meaning. The Void Moon is the domain of the inner landscape and the Divine Feminine. When She is governing a shift or change, it has the effect of being felt and integrated at a very deep level. This particular movement of Venus is important to us because in Leo she has stretched out and experienced herself as very expansive and joyful. In Virgo, she will take what she got from that stretch and integrate it into us as permanent and irrevocable change. Right away, Venus makes an aspect to Uranus from her new position in Virgo; an agitated Sesqui-Square, an angle that is known for helping illuminate an area where a new choice needs to be made. This is like a wakeup call to what Venus’s transit through Virgo will be all about. Since it happens late in the day, this is something that will be felt both today and tomorrow, so be on the lookout for issues of intimacy and deep, truthful conversations (due to a Mercury transit that is part of tomorrow) that may need your attention in the weeks to come. The Full Moon in Pisces is four days away and we will be made aware of the next level of what our unconscious mind is ready to reveal. The rumblings about what that might be start in earnest now.
