It’s been ages! Many exciting things happening in Bernardineland! Check out a new original project here facebook/foxcatrabbit, and I’ve got new members in my musical instrument family to join my guitar and voice – a bass drum and a loop pedal for my solo/duo shows, sounding very folky, as well as some amazing new sound gear. Latest news, started an open mic at the UWA Tav, have just completed many sessions of recording for the new original project above, have a residency at the Casino twice a week and a weekly residency at the my fav’ locals the Greenwood and Carine with Velvet. Just did a bunch of Oktoberfest gigs all over Perth playing guitar in a German Oom Pa band not to mention weddings galore(!), performed at a rockin’ charity gig for Destiny Rescue and music team on Sundays at Metro church. Life has been absolutely crazy with 7+ gigs a week for over a month! Next I’m about to make some improvements to my website, record with 5 piece original band Sickly Sweet facebook/sicklysweetmorning, put on a solo original show at Yaya’s alongside some talented other musos on my bday and then head into exam period. Nearly finished my undergrad majoring in music studies at UWA (over the half way hump anyway!). I’m also organizing a quirky themed ball and other parties for the Music Students’ Society at UWA, which is an amazing and fun job. Amongst all this I still manage to make it into Freo for a casual busk, my favourite spot is outside Gloria Jeans, the oldies dig it and I always meet weird and wonderful people.
