It’s getting on for a new week now and Ive spent my time with my head hung in shame and disbelief that we Scots had become so soft and so unambitious that we lacked the will, the moral fibre, the drive, the ambition and the self-belief in our own ability to determine our own affairs and take our place on the world stage, preferring instead to feed on the scraps from another’s table. We have chosen to surrender our natural resources and the wealth of what was once a proud country, probably gone now for ever and barely worthy of the term “a region.” My greatest fear is we’ll get exactly what we deserve; nothing in return, serves us all right!
