It’s quite deplorable to allow a person not domiciled in Makueni, not born there and has no contribution to make in order that our county residents move up the world to unnecessarily grumble, gripe and castigate Right Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka. It’s also shocking, malicious, loathful and monstrously spiteful for a person to presuppose that we don’t know whom our political leaders in Makueni are. I got the attention of one Mesh Musyoki who posted a demeaning tirade against SK Musyoka, that he has lost his grip in Kambaland. He illustrated his preposterous aspersion by suggestively affirming that 1. Hon. Musimba got elected as an act of rebellion against Wiper coercion 2. Wiper has 20 MCAs in Machakos because its influence is waning 3. Kalonzo was baffled by his backyard’s electorate when they voted otherwise in defiance to his support for a candidate who lost. 4. That the outcome of a by-election at a Ward in Machakos was a flagrant show of shrinkage of allegiance to Wiper in the region In response, let me make unambiguous elucidations as under - : That 1. Hon. Musyoka has, is and always shall remain Kamba nation’s leader till he exits the political arena 2. Comparing Governor Mutua to Kalonzo furnishes an inkling of an imminent break-away by former from latter’s found party. 3. Kalonzo is not a tribal chief but a visionary national leader who has manifested integrity, fairness and dynamism in his career as a diplomat and a political party leader. In addition thereto, the Wiper Party is not Kamba’s personal asset, as it has won in other regions. For instance, Richard Tongi who successfully petitioned and subsequently won Nyaribari-Chache by-election was Wiper’s; same is outspoken, decorous Mombasa senator Omar Hassan. 4. That it’s undue to discuss matters of Machakos in a Makueni County Forum purposely to brighten up a fast-fading star of an outsider leader. It’s too a portrayal of despise to our Governor, in his personal capacity and as a confidante of SK Musyoka. 5. Mutua is free to leave Wiper and form his own party, join Jubilee or do what he deems right for his political survival. But, that remains irrelevant to people of Makueni who have hitherto not subscribed to his leadership since we have our own able democratically elected governor 6. Our allegiance to Cord shall not be alienated, whether through public relations, project candidate in 2017 to split our votes, malicious rebellion against the prospects of the coalition or even through open disowning of the party by a section of superficially popular governors, MPs and MCAs. 7. The loss in general elections and by-elections was, as expected, because Wiper is not the only political party in Ukambani, that voters do not vote party but individuals, and because citizens exercise their right to choice and are thus free to choose the leader they prefer. 8. Basically, Wiper is a political party like any other. It has its members, loyalists, leaders and sympathizers. Any politician, leader and voter was therefore free to opt against the choice of a candidate nominated by Wiper. I therefore call upon Mesh Musyoki to respect the independence, leadership and bill of right of our county residents. I also encourage him to dwell on matters that promote national unity, can occasion development and are not ill-adjusted. This is very crucial if we are going to forge ahead cohesively. I too urge Makueni people to be vigilant not to be swayed away by promise of a false paraside in the name of development by some opportunists out to sort out their personal woes. I wish my Muslim brothers Eid Mubarak.
