It’s with a heavy heart and a worried mind that I write this post. Our brother and RJB drummer, Ray Peter has been diagnosed with Cancer. Words cannot do justice to how I feel about Ray as a human being and band member. Ray is Family. But he has to step away from RJB to get ready for the battle of his life and we support him and will continue to support him through this fight. I pray that God is with Ray every step of his battle, because I know we will be. As RJB’s man behind the drums, Ray Peter is without a doubt, our heartbeat. We’ve laughed together, we’ve cried together and we’ve lived the dream together. So, I ask you all for your prayers whether you’re a religious person or not, because Ray and his family needs all the prayers and good vibes they can get. And as far as the Rowdy Johnson Band is concerned, it’s always gonna be Ray’s drum throne, but as he tells us over and over again, the show must go on. So we will need to begin the search for a drummer worthy of such a high honor. I’m not quite sure how that will go because I never thought this day would come. God brought Ray into my life and put us together in RJB, so I pray that He will send us another soldier on drums who is worthy. But most importantly, let’s pray for Ray and his family. We love you Ray and we’re here for you brother. – Rowdy Johnson
