Ive Travelled ALL over the Europe and North America, been to the Caribbean several times andEastern Passage is one of the most unique and quaint towns I have ever been to, which is why I STAYED, bought a home and opened a business here. The community has a small-town feel but there are almost FIFTEEN THOUSAND people here, more than ANY OTHER suburb outside of Halifax. There is an active and charming fishing dock with THREE Lobster pounds!! My favorite food has always been lobster so when I saw that and we looked at a home WALKING distance from that IT WAS UTOPIA. My bernese mountain dog and I walked YEAR ROUND on the boardwalk every morning and evening rain or shine and no matter what the weather it was always a picture perfect maritime scene. The community culture here is so interesting as there is a strong foundation of old fashioned and traditional Christian values but with all the military turnover there is a cool mix of people coming and going and bringing new perspective to the community on a regular basis. And since I am bilingual and so are most of my staff we have attracted a STRONG French-Canadian population from here in Eastern Passage and the Eastern Shore. The people are humble here and very family oriented....it is a quiet, safe and family-oriented community and after 9yrs of living here I would say that any of the elitest ignorance that comes from Halifax can stay there. Once the rest of the world catches on to how beautiful and precious this town is we may be glad for the elitest ignorance of those Halifax media organizations who actually think Eastern Passage is a `ghetto`. Your Truly, CHEF KIM STACEY EMMA`S EATERY INC. EASTERN PASSAGE, NS.
