Ive always heard of all these wire money scams never thought it would happen to us. Trine Silva got a voicemail stating that we failed to respond to a certified letter from the IRS in regards to our 2012 tax return & that we were now under investigation. Of course he said I dont check the mail or deal with the family finances, you need to talk to my wife. Lol So I called this number with a Washington area code & spoke with a man that had such a thick accent I could barely understand him. He told me that our case had been sent over to home land security & that a warrant was about to be issued for trine & they were going to arrest him in the next couple of hours if I didnt take care of this. I never got a letter & I told him that but he insisted that we were trying to avoid the government. He told me I had 2 choices, either settle this in court which was going to costs us thousands of dollars for lawyers & court fees. The other option was to settle out of court. Of course I told him I wanted to fix this without going to court. So I had to do 3 things, the 1st being to pay a warrant cancelation fee. $1200. I told him I didnt have the $$. Anyway the more I talked to him the more I felt it was a scam. By the end he became hostile. I called him back & said I wanted my lawyer to take over from here. He said since I had involved a third party he could no longer help me. I find it crazy that these people sit there all day trying to scam people. I called & reported this to the IRS & Homeland security. Crazy crazy crazy!!
