Ive always said that its impossible to get up off the ground when society has its foot planted firmly on your back, holding you down there. With things like: Not enough money to live on, let alone buy a decent outfit to go to a job interview with, or petrol money etc. Not enough health care to stay healthy enough to work (including mental health care). Not enough support at schools for kids with disabilities or troubles, forcing a parental to constantly be needed during school hours (and not able to work). Forcing carers into poverty taking not only their life now, but also their life later as they have NO superannuation. Its fine for some privileged arse to tell you to get back up and make something of yourself. Its not always possible.
