Ive been around the theme-parks for a while. Though I distinctly remember in multiple training courses being told dont bring up the heat as a topic. Because it is already on the guest mind, and enforcing how uncomfortable they are isnt a productive way to having them enjoy their day. It also makes you as a worker sound tired, hot and unhappy. For years Ive never thought a thing of it. But over the past few hot seasons, its all I hear. Employees initiating the topic of how hot it is today. Sometimes casually, others upset, tired, near complaining and even on microphone (?!). Is this what you would want to hear the performer say at the top of a show? Or at any part of your day? Basically calling you lazy for not shouting and clapping because its hot out.
