Ive been asked about my academic and career future lately and why I decided to withdraw from the journey to becoming a physician. Well, here it is. Ever since remission, I felt an urge to enter medicine. I thought I was doing this to make me happy. I thought this was Gods calling for me. Well, it wasnt. After I evaluated myself, I discovered I was on that ambition train just for a 6 digit salary and also because I thought my family desired it. Well I soon found out theyd be supportive of whatever makes me happy. I gave up Biology, changed to Political Science, and am now working my way to either law school and/or a Ph.D. in Social Justice and Human Rights. I will help society in making rights equal for everyone. Remember, a career isnt about money. Its about doing something you enjoy. Money may be great, but it cant buy you true love or happiness.
