Ive been asked to clarify two things, and I apologize deeply if I ever misrepresented myself. First, I am currently a student in seminary, and would like to serve in ministry as long as I am able. Anything. Pianist, youth minister, stacking chairs after service — its a community, and I love it. Serving in ministry isnt hard, its just an embracing of the community around you. But second, and perhaps most importantly, I am a STUDENT in seminary. I am Socratically naive (only thing I know beyond a shadow of a doubt is that I know nothing beyond a shadow of a doubt), and am here to learn. I dont know everything. I dont even know half of anything at all. My position is, has been, and hopefully always shall be that of inviting others to jump on a trampoline with me, to play about with ideas like lego blocks, to see what fits and what doesnt, to consider all facets and dash them all with glee. I like to play with ideas, I like to consider the alternatives, I like to hear from all the speakers in the room and afford them the berth deserved for their voice. Because in the greatness of the universe, I acknowledge my littleness — and if I have ever purported to be big, or have misled you with claims of sagacious depth, I am very sorry. Im here to learn, and I have a long way to go.
