Ive been dancing again in various shows and performances since having moved to Vashon Island four years ago. But tomorrow will be my first on-stage professional dance performance in many years. In the theater this week for tech rehearsals, Im remembering things I had long forgotten like staying warm in the theater, warming up my body for dance effectively and safely, bringing food and cozy socks and water, buying per furnace make up, pre-show jitters and quiet concentration and focus and physical fatigue... its a lot! Crazy to think I used to do this all the time. :-)
