Ive been doing quite a bit of introspection the past several weeks, and Ive come to a difficult but liberating decision. I dont want to be a filmmaker, nor do I have the desire to be a writer in any capacity. After taking notice of the inspirational work of the likes of Tom Crenshaw, Anthony Zeppetella, Noveller, and the remarkable St. Vincent, Ive taken it upon myself to pursue music. Over the past months, Ive developed a relationship with music with an intimacy and vitality far eclipsing those I had with film and science, and it left me as conflicted as Ive ever been. Yes, as much as it genuinely pains me to say it, this means that VESTIGIUM as a project is now dead. I apologize to all of those Ive disappointed, but I have to focus on whats best for my well-being, and just writing this makes me feel better than I have in years. Dont fret, however. The passions and relationships Ive developed through cinema will remain invaluable both creatively and personally; Im retaining as many ties to that world and life as I can. I already have the support of some of my oldest and closest friends, and to them I say thank you. I cant wait to venture in this exhilarating new direction with you by my side. More to come.
