Ive been doing some research to find out WTF is happening to society today. NARCISSISM: These women who are unable to get there heads around the fact that the rest of the world might not share there distorted inflated view that they have of themselves. Theres been a rise in narcissism amoung women. A 67 percent increase in the past 2 yrs 10% of the population suffers from this as a full blown personality disorder. The symtoms include grandiose sense of self importance the belief that he or she is special unique & in some way better either intellectually or physically than others requires admiration sense of entitlement whether fame fortune success & happieness simply special treatment enviousness of others or a belief that people are envious of him or her & inability to emphasize with others researchers surveyed we all have some sort of normal narcissicm a culture shift that has seen even non narcissitic people seduced by the emphasis or material wealth physical apperances & a celerbrity worship they blame the internet reality television where fame without talent easy credit which enables people to buy far beyond there ability to pay celebrity worship highly consumerist competitive & individualistic society & a generation of indulgent parents who have raised there children to think there special amazing & perfect a cultural flight from reality is grandiose fantasy we have phony rich people who actually have massive mortgages & piles of debt phony beauty plastic surgery phony genious students with grade inflation & phony friends with social networking an explosion however when I read this article & thought about the unrealistic expectations of sense of entitlement amoung some women it really struck a cord.
