Ive been getting a real chuckle out of Rick Scotts ads. He blames then-Republican Charlie Crist (who had a super-majority Republican legislature) for Republican George Bushs recession, then takes credit for Democrat Obamas recovery. Its absurd. For the argument to hold water, Florida would have had to lose jobs under Crist when the nation as a whole was doing well and outperform the national recovery under Scott. Neither is true. Floridas job recovery under Scott has been almost parallel to the national recovery. And, during that time, we have slashed education funding, which weakens our long term prospects. Still, some people will buy it because they live in a world in which facts cant compete with their ideologies.
