Ive been giving this a lot of thought, and this isnt a defence of Luis Suarez, but just my opinion on the reason for the ban and FIFAs stance on it ..... FIFAs official spokesman said the bite gave wrong message to football supporters worldwide and more importantly the effect his behaviour might have, on the ever so impressionable youngsters watching the game worldwide However, if FIFA are so keen to protect the virtues of fair play and sportsmanship, how come they wont clamp down on the diving, feigning injury and a players attempt to get another sent off, by means of cheating? Most children know biting, in any walk of life is wrong, and by FIFA banning Suarez, they reinforce this knowledge so children are left in no doubt ! but on the other hand, after seeing the antics of Robben (hes not on his own) last night, and the lack of action by FIFA, does this not send the wrong message to the oh so impressionable youngsters ? surely this is more of a problem, that is afflicting the game right now....... Just thinkin.... Rant over, its official, the lunatics have taken over the asylum....
