Ive been hearing some trainers here in Malibu disagree on Playcare for your dog. Especially For shy or fearful dogs. I have to say, I totally disagree. Keeping a shy or fearful dog coddled and away from other dogs simply perpetuates this behavior. If you had a shy or fearful child, would you keep him from playing with other kids?! Its bad advice and in 15 years of introducing and socializing dogs, Ive never seen this be a negative result. Even the most difficult and shy dogs come around and usually it only takes a few hours. Worse case scenario, a day. The dog in this video had extreme fear based aggression to humans and dogs. It took me a half hour just to get her collar off without her snapping at me. The end result was as it always is. Another happy dog! PLAYING!
