Ive been in Portland the last couple of days for work and have been anxious to see Nightcrawler. I was not disappointed. Jake Gyllenhall gave the performance of his career. He managed to dig deep and find his inner creeper. He seemed to mix OCD, Aspergers, and the creepy neighbor next door into one man. I left the theater almost guilty I liked it so much. Gyllenhaal plays a cameraman searching for the next big images to get him paid by any local tv station. The videos he finds only get more and more grusome as the movie goes on. He follows the mantra he was told by one of the station producers, If it bleeds, it leads. This movie brings reality television to a whole new level. I give this movie a 9.5 out of 10 or a solid A.
