Ive been in the FH hobby for 2 years and 6 months..In that certain span of time, I could say that I am very fulfilled with what I have done..I was able to meet new individuals who also became my friends up until now..Perhaps, it is one of the best things this hobby has given me aside from pleasure and excitement; new friends who are always there ready to help you and make you happy whenever youre down.. But aside from having new friends, I had a lot of experiences regarding the hobby that Im sure I will cherish for the rest of my life..There are ups and downs, but mostly ups..The hobby molded me into a person who is more patient, broad-minded, and keeps on trying to surpass all my previous achievements, this specifically in terms of breeding and trying to produce higher quality flowerhorns for everyone to own and groom. Eventhough I still havent achieved my final goal in the hobby, I could say that I am already satisfied with the achievements I had..Its very heart-warming to hear from other hobbyists that they admire me as a breeder and also trust my breeds or products..Its a fullfillment that cannot be bought by any amount..Yet, all I can say is that all of those achievements wont be possible if not for those people who spent their time, money, and effort in grooming the fry they acquired from me, making them become beautiful and look like MPs.. Lastly, all of those achievements were made possible because of very helpful people around me who were always there to guide me and share all their knowledge regarding fry management, grooming, and breeding specially when I was just starting in the flowerhorn hobby..You know who you are and, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for what you have done for me..And for those who treat me as an enemy or those who think I made a sin/mistake to them, Im sorry and I deeply apologize for whatever wrong doing Ive done.. A chapter in my life has come wherein I could say that this could be it for me in the hobby..I hope that I was able to leave a good reputation in the FH world as well as able to leave quality flowerhorns that will be used for breeding by other hobbyists and breeders which will produce more quality local breed flowerhorns in the future..Dont worry, though, for I wont totally quit with raising flowerhorns..I will still leave a few ones that I will take good care of and try to breed whenever given a chance, but this time its just for my own pleasure and past time..I might still join shows/competitions (still an option) but I wont be that active anymore in the hobby especially in terms of breeding and selling flowerhorns..One thing that I can guarantee is that I will still try my best to do my share when it comes to organizing shows/competitions..And of course, I will still be here to help newbies and share all the knowledge I have regarding flowerhorn care.. For those who are just starting with the hobby, all I can advise is to always be patient, be understanding, be broad-minded, and persevere..Always think positive and be thankful to the Lord for every blessing that you achieve, big or small..Trust in yourself, listen to what others would suggest and try to keep them in mind, and learn from your mistakes..Once you are able to do this, you will always be on the right path.. Thank you for all the happiness, the sadness, and all the experiences that I had..I could say that flowerhorn keeping and breeding is indeed one of the best hobbies ever.. God Bless everyone and Happy Fish Keeping!!! =) RB Jamolin
