Ive been looking at the comments on last nights game and pretty disturbed at what bad losers some people are. The referee had a poor performance but he only contributed to a dismal all round display, particularly from the All Blacks. It wasnt the refs fault we didnt win, it was because we failed to stretch the Aussie defence at any time or make good use of possession when we had it. The only reason we didnt lose was because of outstanding defence, but defence doesnt win matches, scoring does and we never looked like it. I have consistently maintained Aaron Cruden has a real problem when we arent getting front foot ball and last night exposed that cruelly. Its not the first poor performance the ABs have put up in recent history and when your invincibility myth has been shattered look out, however I think instead of complaining we should in fact be celebrating escaping with a draw. I think its time for 1 or 2 names to go, but lets see what happens at Eden Park. Surely were bigger than blaming all our misfortunes on the ref without taking a long hard look at what we actually did, or didnt do to take control of that game - and the unthinkable - what, just what if - the opposition were, in fact, our equals.
