Ive been reading Kurt Vonnegut again. I read Slaughterhouse 5 and Mother Night several years ago but then somehow got sidetracked. I just finished Cats Cradle and Im a few chapters into God Bless you, Mr. Rosewater. Its very cool that novels written in the early sixties can be so very relevant today. The story of Eliot Rosewater could be set right now in the current era of social and economic inequality. Vonnegut always seems to make you laugh out loud just about a second before you realize exactly how profoundly disturbing and very true what you just read really is.
