Ive been seeing a lot of updates in my feed lately about racism. I normally dont open up about these kinds of things on here, but here we go; the video with the kids from Furgeson.... Absolutely disgusting. Exploiting young children, especially for a profit. creating a racial video to end racism doesnt get us anywhere. All it can do, is breed more hate. Just watched another young mans video about talking like a white person. Although there are some good points made, there is somethings that stand out to me. EXCUSES! I cant talk like an educated human being because, well, i dont know how. I wasnt given the opportunity to have a decent education. Bull! If you want change in your life, if you dont want to be uneducated, poor, live in certain areas or any other circumstantial problem. Change it! Youve got to want it, to work for it, to receive it. This goes for white, black, brown, yellow and red. The only disadvantage you have in life, are the ones youve set for yourself. Thus bringing up my next point; stereotypes. They exist for a reason. Overweight people love to eat, typically yes, but its not the rule. Dogs love to play fetch, again not always true. There is a reason these statements become stereotypes. If you want a stereotype to go away, dont live it. Living it and being offended, all I can say is the truth hurts sometimes. I guess the main point I have here is, accept responsibility for your actions, words, and lifestyle. If you want better for yourself and your children to follow, take action and buck up. Dont make it a race deal. Wise up a bit and realize that ignorance fuels this hate. Get to know your neighbor regardless their color.
