Ive been selling real estate in Scottsdale for 19 years. I do what it takes to represent my client no matter what. Sometimes we have to take matters into our own hands to find homes for our clients. Ive climbed trees, rented helicopters, and relied on door knocking to find the perfect property for my client. Digging deep and making it happen at the sacrifice of my own family, my own time, my own boundaries. Last week I wrote two full price cash offers for a client relocating here to be near her grandkids. I sold them (Dawn Ossenkop Morgan and Jeff Morgan) their home last year when they moved from Oregon so they could have a better youth hockey experience . Well Dawns mom sold her house and needs a new one quickly. We lost out on two- unusual and frustrating. So I took to the streets yesterday at 4:30PM. My intention was to knock on all 188 doors until I got a YES!!! Two hours later I had only knocked on 12 doors. Met 8 people. They ALL wanted to talk. They ALL wanted to tell me about their homes. They ALL gave me the neighborhood gossip (who might sell who wont sell). Several of the 8 want to sell within the next year or two. One woman told me of her neighbor who was just moved to a nursing home this past weekend and she would get me the daughters phone number. She came back a few minutes later with her trash can and emptied on the front porch digging through her garbage as she had thrown it out not thinking she would need it again. I was so touched by the confidence and trust people had in me while only meeting me for the first time briefly. I was totally blown away by the reaction I received. Now this is not the first time in 19 years by any means that Ive done this. Ive been doing it my entire career. 19 years ago I met Al and Debi Ware who ONLY wanted to live in a particular neighborhood in Arcadia. I found them the perfect home and sold it many years later. I Iove what I do because of the importance of what I do. I sacrifice my time because thats what Realtors do. I met some great people yesterday and I may have found Grandma Morgan a new home. I recently presented an offer on a $1.6 million home in Los Diamantes from door knocking. I put my clients first- price doesnt matter. I close deals $300K-$3 million all the time. Its what I do. Its how I roll.
