Ive been suffering from Wind Turbine Syndrome too, without even knowing it. When I look from our hillside toward the Forkston Mountains on a dark night and the line of red lights blink on, blink off, blink on again, my little heart goes pitter pat and I think, Now. THAT is kind of pretty. So much nicer than mountaintop removal. So much nicer than any of this areas super quarries (which are also a form of mountaintop removal, except these miners are after Pennsylvania bluestone, not coal, and they WILL remove a mountain, have no doubts about it). Just a row of tall spires with three blades and, at night, a ridgeline marked by blinking red lights. I wish my folks could have seen them. I wish Paul G., neighbor, World War II vet, and a huge admirer of the early windmills that he DID live to see, could have seen these. Honestly, what do people want? Tallow lamps and oxcarts? Or, conversely, an oil refinery instead of windmills in their back yards?
