Challenge: Scott M Fischer -------------------- Day 1: Bread and Butter Best of: Legend of the Five Rings. Legend of the Five Rings was where I began my career as a freelance illustrator, just over ten years ago. With the exception of Satsu, that fella who looks remarkably like a temple-dwarfing dragon, all of these pieces were originally personal work, later licensed for the card game. Togashi Satsu. Originally a human monk, this champion of his clan took on the form of a collosal dragon to defend his home and his people. One of my earliest attempts with dragons. Looking back on it, theres a lot I would do differently now, but Im still fond of it. 2007. Return of the Shogun. The shoguns armor has returned from war, without him in it. A personal piece, experimenting with subtle narrative, trying to get the viewer to ask quesitons. 2007. Akodo Kobe. A more recently published work for L5R, also a personal piece. Trying to write the characters history visually. 2013.
