Ive been telling this to people that want to retire to a tropical climate for years. After sleeping in a hammock on our land in Tulum for a summer while we built our palapa, I can honestly say tropical climates suck. I think the worst was when a humungus bug was crawling up my neck and I picked it off without a second thought. Id grown that accustomed to having shit crawl on me. I also thought I was olive skinned once I got enough sun. After finally having a shower (not a saltwater bath), I realized it was just a layer of dirt.
