Ive been tying decorative knots a good long time. It never ceases - TopicsExpress

Ive been tying decorative knots a good long time. It never ceases to amaze me that with a scrap of lace and little more than your hands, you can make beautiful knots like these. Often, before I use a knot in a project, I will make the same knot in different size lace, different colors and different build ups to get an Idea how I want to use it in my overall design. I save these sticks for later reference. I have a couple of hundred of them. The stick on the left shows the Bruce Grant Slide Button (O3 U3 interweave) in different colors and lace from 1/2 in to 1/16 in in width. The stick on the right shows the Grafton knot I learned from Ron Edwards. The yellow knot on the left end of the right stick is the Gaucho interweave applied to the 7 part 6 bight Turks head as shown in my DVD home study course on leather braiding. The fid shown was made for me by a customer in South Africa. Its the only one of its kind and is not for sale. The lace used is kangaroo scraps from the shop floor. Enjoy
