Ive been up since 4am thanks to an obnoxious street preacher with a loud hailer who yelled virtually incoherently for an hour and a half about circumcision, Jesus, the covenant between PNG and Israel, and the Blood Moon.... finally after a lengthy closing prayer he shut down just as the sun peeked over the horizon. Purposely awakening, aggravating, and annoying an entire sleeping community and provoking them to wrath attempting to argue a theological point in the wee hours of the morning does absolutely nothing to glorify Christ and draw the sinner to repentance, rather it alienates people from the Cross and drives people away from Calvary. That guy gets to take a nap now blissfully at peace knowing that he has poured out his mutated and militarized version of the Gospel while the rest of us must struggle through the day absolutely exhausted and unable to function properly. Jesus came to seek and save the lost.... not to deprive us of sleep. My Bible says, It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so He giveth His beloved (sweet) sleep.
