Ive been using aloe gel as a face mask for a few years now, but Ive been looking for a non-toxic face scrub lately. After making a batch of fresh almond milk one day, I was wondering what to do with the leftover pulp when it dawned on me that the pulp would make a perfect almond face and body scrub! All you need is a few ingredients that you may already have in your pantry. *1 cup almond pulp (left over from making homemade almond milk) *1/2 cup cold pressed sweet almond oil (you can use cold pressed olive oil as well) *3 to 4 drops of pure essential oil of your choice (this is optional) Simply mix the almond pulp and oils together with a spoon (or use your hands). To use the scrub, take a small amount about the size of a quarter and gently rub it on your face in a small circle. Some of the pulp will fall off your face so make sure to lean over the sink. After you have gently rubbed your entire face, wash the scrub off with warm water. You can do this once or twice per day. I usually follow up by applying the gel from an aloe leaf to my face, let it dry overnight and then wipe it off with warm water the next morning. So there you go. Thats my secret to radiant skin without chemicals
