Ive been watching the live feed of Dr. Kent Brantley as hes arrived in ATL and been transported to Emory Univ. for treatment. I witnessed him walk into the hospital with little assistance and no respiratory assistance (I think he had help with his portable IV). What a testimony he will have to share with the world if Gods will is to heal him through this! Regardless of the outcome, Im blessed to know that these two individuals and many nameless other health care providers and various volunteers have selflessly been a part of such a wonderful organization like Franklin Grahams Samaritans Purse. These people have selflessly risked their lives providing humanitarian relief to others; its now our time to give back to them. This virus would likely have a much lower mortality rate if patients had access to better healthcare like we can provide here in the US with better supportive measures and isolation techniques. Only God can heal them; however we can all pray for these two, the medical team caring for these patients, and the families of these patients. Proud to be a Physician Assistant. Proud to be a Prayer Warrior. Proud to be a Samaritans Purse Supporter. PS- For all of those who might be fearful and have differing views than mine... theres a distinct difference between highly infectious and highly contagious. Ebola has to be transmitted through bodily fluids to infect someone, so while this makes it highly infectious, it is not very contagious to be around someone with it unless you come into contact with some form of their bodily fluids. Get informed. Do your own research. ITS FEAR THATS MOST CONTAGIOUS.
