Ive been working on a smartphone-friendly version of the Dachshund website. I think everything is mostly up and working well at this point, so if youre one of the smartphone-carrying set, go check it out (at dachshundband) and let me know what you think! I know it looks good on my iPhone, and at this point thats about all I know. This is the first mobile site Ive tried to create, but it was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be thanks to the WPTouch plugin for Wordpress, which basically handled all the hard work for me by creating a basic template which I then customized. Like I said, easy stuff. The hard part was just figuring out why certain things wouldnt work under the Mobile theme, and then figuring out ways around that. I still havent fixed the music-player to work under the Mobile theme, but Im not so sure thats a big issue. In the grand scheme of things, I believe that bit can wait until the album is done.
