Ive contemplated for two days whether I should post this or not. In the end, should the public not be able to see their elected officials in action, even when it isnt all love fest as the Southern Standard called it. I promised that I would push for accountability and transparency in local government. I intend on doing what I promised. This video is the first two minutes after my arrival to the meeting Monday night. It only takes 35 seconds for it to get entertaining and sad. I sent out 19 identical envelopes with my return address to the County Commissioners with identical documents concerning the improper actions of a county employee that the commissioners had not previously been given by the Policy and Personnel Committee. This video documents the only response I got from any commissioner. Only one commissioner voted no to reappointment after seeing the documents and there was no mention as to the extra training for that Judicial Commissioner nor the other JC that freely admitted unlawful practices (concerning bail) in a training session. Additional training is what I and the attorney that trains Judicial Commissioners for Tennessee recommended. I NEVER asked that the Judicial Commissioner be fired but I did mention additional training more than once in my cletter. Those documents can be seen on my Facebook page. Ive not been sworn in yet. Im just a citizen with proof of misconduct and this is how one County Commissioner reacted to me, a citizen just like you. The only difference between me and you is that Im the one the 3rd district elected because of my promises to not adhere to the status quo and this indicates the resistance already in place against me doing such. I hope that this commissioner can get past his rage from receiving documents in the mail from a taxpayer concerning an item the commission was to vote on. If you do not approve of your elected officials behaving in this manner, please contact them and let them know. warrencountytn.gov/commission.asp warrencountytn.gov/executive.asp
