Ive decided to write this post not to gain any likes or sympathy but to maybe put a few things into perspective now we are moving towards the new year. We have all in the past whinged about being too fat or the car breaking down etc etc so I thought Id share mine and Walts list of disasters this year in the hope of making you all think and hopefully smile.. 1.We saw the New Year in nursing the two thoroughbreds one recovering from colic surgery and one had sliced her leg to the bone.Three months box rest.. 2.Frasier damaged his deep digital flexor tendon.Box rest and nine months recuperation. 3.Our beautiful dog Alec had to be PTS. 4.Our cat Smudgy had cancer and had to be put to sleep. 5.Our cat Yoda also died. 6.Our amazing cat Freddie was run over by a friend leaving the house. He survived even though the van ran right over him and it cost several hundreds of pounds of vets fees. 7.Gypsy our dog was stood on by Rolo the horse and had to have her toe amputated. 8.Frasier was diagnosed as EMS when he presented with laminitis .. 9.Walt starts to act weirdand is rushed to hospital with calcium levels in his blood that are too high and is then diagnosed with cancer. 10. Walt is rushed to hospital with blues and twos when his heart rate starts to go way out of control they suspect a clot or sepsis. 11.After Walt is diagnosed hes told he must not lift anything so no working on the vehicles etc..then our cars break down three times and Walt cant fix them. 12.We have booked to go away next week to finish filming in London and for a break and Indie has seriously damaged her leg and once home she will need nursing so yet again for the fourth time this year I will have to cancel. 13.Finally , although there is so much Ive missed we had planned six months ago to spend New Years Eve at The Cartford with friends and now Walt has an infection and we have had to cancel The good news is Walt is still here hes fighting and doing brilliantly and I know some of you have lost people this year so for this I am extremely grateful, the rest of my family are amazing and have supported us along with a good few of our lovely friends. We are thankful beyond belief for this. So it would be a lovely way to bring in the New Year if each and every one of you turned to someone close and told them how grateful you are for what ever little thing they do that makes you feel good. Walt and I wish each and every one of you a brilliant 2015...and hope ours will get better too lol!!!! Xxxx
