Ive got HUGE issues with my mortgage payment increasing by...hang on...just wait. ... $125.00/month because our escrow increased due to our insurance premium going up almost $1,000.00/year! Weve never had a claim. ..never in the 12 years since we built this house! Ugh! Apparently, because of the catastrophic weather and horrible tragedy that took place in the surrounding areas last February. ...Im paying (& so are all of you) paying for those claims that were filed and paid! Im sorry but, that is NOT fair! The insurance company told me today that anyone in a 100 mile radius of just where we live would be hit with this! Aiken county was one of the hardest hit counties in the state (according to the state of SC...& our insurance company! ) Im posting this so that if youve not paid attention to your new premium for 2015...ya might want to! Weve been screwed! Ill call the insurance commissioner tomorrow if thats what it takes. I feel like I should have been given a courtesy call...let us decide how we wanted to go about handling our policy! After all these years of paying our insurance. ..not the first claim and this is what we get! We get to help pay for others claims! For those of you who really know me. ..Im sure you can imagine how that conversation ended with that VERY CONDESCENDING INSURANCE AGENT! She was being rude about my questions (I thought they were legit questions. ..seeing as how it was OUR insurance that increased!) I do not do rude. ..so, yep, I absolutely gave it right back to her! Ill handle all of this crap tomorrow! Do yourself a favor and look very closely to your 2015 policy/premium! Dont be caught off guard like I was! Oh, our insurance company is Travelers! Pretty bad when my mortgage company told me to check into that increase. ... because something doesnt sound right!
