Ive got a slightly different spin on this. Want to know what I think the REAL grind is for people who want to be able to do what they love not just when theyre young, but when theyre older too? Take the time to learn the fundamentals of movement. Instead of injuring your body in name of short term athletic glory, injure your short term pride in the name of wisdom, longevity, & long-term performance. If you rush to do what you think is cool without having the inventory of skills to back it up, then make sure that you understand the consequences for being so impatient. If a winning NCAA Division I track team thinks its important enough to use parts of Tai Cheng to train their sprinters, maybe you might want to re-evaluate your excuses about why you havent done the program yet! - Dr. Mark Cheng
