Ive got the luck to got a lot of fantastic moments when I met the band over the years. I can remember when I first met one of the band - Paul Humphreys in 2004 in London, after his OneTwo debut gig in Islington. I was so nervous, but he was very nice, although he knows about my bad Listening Pool review of my german OMD fansite. His first sentence to me was Oh Hagen! I know that you dont like The Listening Pool!. Id reworked my review after that evening... The first personal contact to Andy McCluskey I had in 2005 in his Motor Museum Studio in Liverpool and I was really amazed about that he knows about my fansite... and he also knows my name! Met the whole band in Utrecht/Netherlands for the first time in 2007-what a great feeling it was! Some more great memories when Andy comes to my seat (!) at the NOTP in Mannheim/Germany in 2006 and takes me backstage - directly trough the whole members of the orchestra which where ready to enter the stage. In Mainz/Germany in 2007 I was very consternate when Andy comes to me and embrace me... The highlight was last year in my hometown Saarbrücken, when Im waiting in front of the venue waiting to get in, seeing Andy walking by inside, he see me, came out and we had a cigarette together and talking about his divorce... very sureal! They are ALL very nice guys really - but for several times it was a great pleasure talking with Malcolm about drums (Im also drumming), the sound of the band... very down-to-earth and pleasant-natured. This is why I got a lot of respect for that band - theyre never forget their fans. It would be a pleasure to know if someone else here had also met the band? And please post your photos!
