Ive had a few hours sleep, and Im in work today but just wanted to say a few words about another awesome SWA show last night. We were always going to have to work really really hard to raise the bar after the success of Summer BlowOut and I feel we definitely did British Lions justice! I know Im always quite quiet and struggle to put things across on show days sometimes so I figured Id add a few bit here. Looking at the inaugural BL tourney from last year and seeing the calibre of people at this years tournament just goes to show how far weve come in a short space of time. Yeah we might not be up there with the Progress, PCWs and Southsides of this crazy world we call wrestling but we are definitely making the right kind of impact every single time we step into Dawley Town Hall. Everyone put in an incredible effort last night from the top to the bottom of the card but I wanted to pick out a few to comment on individually. Last night we saw the debuts of two young stars of the future who, despite both coming out on the losing end, put on awesome matches and definitely earned their place on the roster for the future. Pyro filled in for the injured Mark Andrews and played into the match perfectly, going toe to toe with 3 of our established guys in Chris, Pete and Sebastian and had a great showing. Drew Parker also debuted last night and I was genuinely blown away by his performance and his match with Damian. Drew is still very young but already has that unique moveset and athletic ability that will see him go far. Possibly a sleeper match on the card on paper giving the crazy multi man matches we had last night but genuinely one of the matches of the night. Also it still baffles me how Damian is not booked in more places, the guy (love him or hate him) is a superb representative for the British Lions title and has been since day one! Pete and Tyler absolutely nailed the main event as well, which was actually a first time ever singles encounter amazingly, especially having wrestled earlier in the night as well. Steffanie (Nixon), as always brings the fight to anyone shes faced with and always continues to amaze me just how good she is given the length of time she has been wrestling for. The Chase Coalition continue to run rough shot over SWA, and they have Dave DelVecchio by their side, all credit to Edwards and Sanchez for surviving the onslaught they hit them with. Believe me there will be repercussions. Ryan, Lee and James had a superb match which told a great story as well with Ryan picking up the W putting him in a commanding position for GoldRush as he gets to pick his GoldRush number. Special mention also goes out to Daniel Moloney, every time I see him wrestle he always brings something new to the table, always up for trying new things and a tremendous locker room representative for us. I have a feeling 2015 will be his year. As always I am forever indebted to our backroom staff, Paul and David for doing great jobs in the zebra shirts, Craiguss and James for looking after me video wise and Yvonne Hill and Craig for going to the ends of the earth for us to make sure everything was perfect! Lawrie played his best Joey Styles impression last night and Joanna does a amazing job and looking great as per :). Finally.. The fans! Without you guys we are nothing! You have made 2014 truly a remarkable year for us and 2015 will be even better! On that note Im off to start planning for GoldRush! Tickets go on sale at 7pm tonight!
