Ive had a few people ask how yesterday was so here is the update for people who are interested. Feeling really good, Chels and I went to the Aortic/Marfan disease clinic at Stanford yesterday. I am super blessed to be able to see them, they lead the way in Aortic/Marfan diseases and they will see me for free (very rare in America). They checked all my records and did an echocardiogram on my aorta. My aorta was all good and my aortic valve seemed to only be leaking a tiny bit which is fine, apparently my surgeon did a really good job. What caused our aortas to want to burst is some sort of undiscovered connective tissue disease that must run in the family, they think my Mums side. So they are very interested in my family and want to do genetic testing to try and find this mutation. Anyway my worse enemy is high blood pressure as the rest of my aorta is most likely diseased so I am to avoid anything that raises that. Other then that Im super happy my valve isnt leaking anymore than last year and that I am now a patient of one of the best doctors in the world for aortic disease. Thanks youve been a wonderful crowd, Im here all week.....try the veal.
