Ive had a lot of time to think tonight. Spending these last moments with Aisling watching Twilight and letting her play with her toys. I love her so dearly! Even though we didnt have a great start in our relationship I couldnt ask for a better dog and best friend. I will always feel guilty not being here for her the last few months. I was the Mom she went to when she was sick and needed medicine and I havent been here but I know she knows that I love her more than anything. So here it goes, a few words I think we both should remember: All dogs go to heaven. I mean, they made a movie about it and movies never lie :) EVER! Especially the animated ones. Okay so Im half joking but if you know me you know that I do fully believe in the after life and dogs are just as spirituality worthy as humans and I know deep down you believe the same. Dog Heaven IS amazing! Unfenced dog parks, infinite milk bones, plentiful chew toys, Angels that play fetch with them all day, and chicken, steaks, pork or whatever the heck puppies have a taste for when its breakfast, lunch, or dinner. PLUS their food will be heated, nice and warm for their bellies. I also know Brewser will be waiting out in the fields for Aisling. I know as soon as he sees her face he will run up to her and guide her the way he used to. Making sure she behaves herself! lol. I have one last theory about death and my theory is the same for dogs and humans because I believe we are spiritually identical to our canine counterparts. If it isnt our time to go to Heaven, we give ourselves to the universe and come back as something different. When we die we are enlightened with the meaning of life, and in the blink of an eye were given a clean slate and given the chance to live a new life from a different perspective. This means that if it isnt Aislings time to go to Heaven, she could come back as a horse or an orca or a Spider Monkey! Something awesome! She may come back as a human; maybe even as a child of a close friend or relative or a child of the future! Hopefully she wont bite any ankles as a human child! I am so happy and proud of our little Girl! We have been the best parents to her and she has been one of kind companion and for that I will always be in her debt! She and Brewser we the ultimate best friends. They were the ultimate companions and siblings. They will be together again and knowing that eases my mind and soul. I am so happy we have been able to spend this last day with her, giving her cheerios for breakfast, salmon and beer for lunch, and frozen yogurt and peanut butter for dinner. Taking her to PetsMart and seeing her get excited again for new toys! Walking around Ace Hardware. Taking her for a drive around the town just holding her! These moments today were priceless and I will never let them go! I love you Aisling, always and forever!
