Ive had many people ask how Chris Corbett is doing so I am doing an update. Its been a challenging couple of days for him....as well as for me. He is getting used to being at home again but he feels strange. It is almost a new environment for him. Sleeping all night is not on his radar yet....too little noise and too few people waking him up for various necessary procedures, meds etc. He saw a primary care physician today who adjusted some meds and seemed in awe that Chris survived all this. Apparently it was a perfect storm that took him down with the rhabdomyolysis and the H1N1. He is still regaining both weight and strength slowly but surely and has such an amazing attitude and determination. Finances are an issue - he worries so much . So many bills! In the hundreds of thousands and we do not even have everything yet. He is paying for meds etc. with no income. Everyday living expenses. How do people do this with no insurance???!!!! We have been asked about setting up a donation account for him. More on that later hopefully since we have no idea how to go about it. Physician today cautioned him about pushing himself yet not overdoing it......balance is the key. Lungs are definitely scarred but time will tell as far as complete healing. We have been told six months to a year for a good recovery. Bottom line: he is looking good but has a long recovery ahead. We continue to be thankful and appreciate all prayers.
