Ive had out-of-state company the past few days and they left this morning so I took a nap this afternoon. When I woke up, I was dreaming of this conversation with several cousins and friends about the church - the whole body of Christ - and the place of grace and how devoted one must be to avoiding sin. There were several comparisons going on with even Islam when I told them that Islam is a law only and they have tried to make a religion of it. They have no grace nor forgiveness of sins, no salvation, so it is only a law - which makes no difference on the remainder of the dream but thought that was interesting and this is the first post Ive commented on so I just poured it out. BUT about the post, WE ARE THE CHURCH and Jesus said greater things that what he did would we do when He went to His Father. So just because of what Jesus said, we should DOMINATE the spirit realm and when opposition arises, being led and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we should take authority of the unclean spirits who are controlling non-Christians. We dont necessarily cast them out because 7 worse spirits would come back on them BUT we can forbid their operation and allow the Glory, Grace, and Conviction of the Holy Spirit work. I was thinking about Gods love - I think mushy, emotional stuff because thats how I get when I hear Jesus name a lot of times - but it is NOT emotion! It can cause mushiness but it is much, much more! And God kept saying it over and over and over - its the first fruit of the spirit mentioned!! Faith works by love and God is love - sometimes it takes a sledge hammer to get it through my thick noggin! We SHOULD dominate because of who we serve!! Our shadows should fall on the sick and they be healed - and remember in Acts the fortune teller following Paul around saying these are servants of the Most High God. To me, I thought they sure are! But it was mockery and I didnt catch that! So he finally turns around and cast that spirit out of the woman to SET HER FREE!! So this is where all this led me today: Heb 5:10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Heb 5:11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
