Ive had several conversations over the past week with a multitude of people concerning the racial tensions were feeling in America today. It seems that the consensus is that if we are of a light complexion were not allowed to use the word understand. If you want meaningful change in racial relations it will be important that each us educate one another so that we may all learn to understand. Only through understanding can we build compassion and unity. I also submit to you that many of us have felt pain and discrimination in our lifetime and at my age and journey through life I believe you would be surprised in how much I understand. Now that I have gotten that off my chest, good night and sweet dreams one and all.
