Ive had some time today to just rest and allow my body to just catch up with my mind. Sometimes my mind just races forward into a lot of areas, spiritually and otherwise, thinking and planning what God would have me do next. Along with all the meetings Ive attended night-after-night for months, and the business of each day to work through, Ive had also some other things that have been weighing heavily upon my mind for some time now. There are three things which Ive had deep concerns with internationally, and I have been working through them as God leads me for weeks now. Ive been praying about them seriously for many weeks - and I have put forth some efforts on them under the leadership of the Holy spirit. Frankly, for these things to happen, God will have to Open doors Himself. I will work and I will pray - and I will be led by God as He leads. But, I dont EVER want to get ahead of God in anything He has for me. At one point today, while I took a short walk outside, I felt that my body just needed an overhauling. As I walked I conversed with God and told Him THAT: God, I need You to overhaul me - spiritually and physically. Create in me a New refreshing of the spirit and renew my mind. Prepare me for the months ahead and inspire me to DO Your Will - and ONLY Your Will. Prepare me, Oh God, for what is ahead of me. Please anoint me with Your wisdom and wording over the course of the remaining months of my campaign, and lead me into paths of righteousness - for Your Names sake. As I walked and prayed, I felt that God was leading me to speak forth some things to Republicans, and others, who are seeking leadership in our Party, our county and our nation. Weve all heard the old adage, All politics is local. I believe that is true - but, If you dont have people who are willing to Serve one another, what good is politics? In the eyes of most people, Politics stinks! It stinks because of the people involved in it. Our nation is full of people, men and women, who have No character, No Integrity and No fidelity toward God, or others, so that when they become elected to office - greed, lies and thuggery sets in automatically because there is NO established foundation found from within to launch principled living - or, a life of integrity. A life that is lived with No integrity from within is a life which is scheduled for disaster! It will happen - sooner, or later Its bound to happen. Im asking you to pray for your leaders, and for those who WILL become leaders soon. Pray that they will be Open for God to use them - and pray that they willing to accept advice from others and be willing to listen to God, and their constituents - being open for counsel and wisdom - transparent before God and others. After all, It is upon Him truly that the foundations of this nation rest and In Him Do We Place Our Trust! In Him I Trust, Charles Lingerfelt STILL Trying to Make a Difference!
