Ive heard a lot of people rid themselves of their old mavericks/dashs with the old roller bearing, funky pad, and strange (today strange) shape. Im here to say Im PROUD of my 1ST GENERATION maverick (yes, she has some small scuffs, and is the same axel and halves from 2004) It was my first metal, the roller bearing was crunchy at one point, that pushed me to learn how to not just clean bearings but rebuild them. Then my pads wore out, I had to buy new ones, finally wore those out, and guess what, I found out flowable silicone is possible on this little baby. I dont see these as little beaters, but gemstones, it spins in the 6minute mark on the STOCK bearing I got it with 10 years ago. I thought Id share it being resiliconed, that was its biggest complaint was people didnt know how to get option pads, bearings were common from any online maker, and even most yoyo sites and stores had bearings in that size. Its a great yoyo. Whats your first metal?
