Ive heard some buzz that Costco pays its workers much better that other stores (e.g. Walmart). I wonder if Walmarts employees, on average, have less experience in the trade. If so, that could explain at least some of the wage differential. If company A pays, in effect, the training wage because theyre employees are newbies, perhaps they should be praised instead of vilified. If company B required 3 or 4 years experience, they dont earn nearly as many give the kid a change points. Just saying. Using the data the bloggers choose to give us (Walmart bad, others good) can be misleading.
