Ive heard the phrase Parkinsons poverty on many sites and blogs. Having PD is bad enough without throwing money troubles into it but thats what many of us have had to and perhaps will have to face in future. Why is it that our countries are able to send billions to foreign aid but we are unable to take care of our own people in trouble. And I cant say that I was fortunate as I had to wait almost 7 months without money while I waited for disability. But there are families so much worse off than that. Some will struggle for years before seeing a penny. The PWP has to deal with symptoms, doctors, medication, and while all of that is rolling around in their heads lets throw in financial trouble. I know this is a rather large subject to start with but its also one which we CAN tackle if we work together. Many of us were saddled with this disease and werent prepared financially to be forced into early retirement. Others have to choose the less expensive drug over the more effective one. And many of those affected earlier in life have children. You want to give your children everything but how?
